Greatsword technique (The shovel)
Beginning at distance after legging opponent
Close right foot forward and strike using power generated from right hip and shoulder...not your arms
Since you struck using predominatly your hips and shoulder all you need do to recover
from your strike is swivil your hips to the left or right. After your strike, block
your opponents counter by swiveling your right hip and shoulder together to the left
This keeps your sword between you and your opponenets sword
after the block, keep pressure on your oppents blade and push it down to his right
Step diagonally with your right foot towards your opponents right knee, continuing to push down on his blade.
Keep your weight over your hips, this allows you to generate lots of power especially as you are using your
hips, shoulder and body against your opponents forarm. To stop you from controlling his blade he must be able to
do a one arm curl with your entire body weight
pop your hips back to the right, keeping your elbows tight the power is generated from your hips not your arms.. SMACKO!!!!
Polearm technique (The shovel)
The same technique works for polearm. However, in this series you can see
I have stepped deeper and my weight is even more over my hips during the bind
this allows me to generate an aweful lot of power and since I'm not really using
my arms I don't have to recover, all I need do is swivel my hips
